AAMM has been recognised as the Best National firm for Pro Bono Work in the first year it has been a candidate for the International Award of Leading Firm in Portugal, at the European Women in Business Law Awards given by Euromoney Legal Media Group.
The firm was on the shortlist of candidates for awards in the categories of Leading Firm in Portugal and Best National Firm for Pro Bono Work.
The awards ceremony took place last night at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London and was attended by Joana Lança, the lawyer who heads AAMM's tax practice, to receive the award the firm won in the Social Responsibility category.
This award represents a set of values that are fundamental to AAMM and, in this context, as the majority of those working at AAMM are women, the firm has a keen sense of the problems women face in their daily lives.
Emphasising the importance that AAMM attributes to policies and initiatives focused on gender equality.
The aim of this annual award is to recognise the law firm in each country with the greatest achievement in its policies and initiatives to promote support for women: development of professional careers, the balance between work and personal life, pro bono work and talent management.
With this award, AAMM becomes the youngest Portuguese law firm to have won an award from Euromoney Legal Media Group.
